Every Kinda People And Round Midnight

Hi everyone!!! Ah yes alas I have not posted in several months due to being a busy college student. But I had the urge to post today so I am here doing so. Driving home the other day (actually a few weeks ago) I heard a song that I had never heard before and youtubed it (of course) and found out that it was sang by Robert Palmer. The song is from 1978 and is called "Every Kinda People." It is just a great song with meaningful lyrics. It does "Take every kinda people to make what lifes about and every kinda people to make this world go round!" Palmer was popular in the 1980's (Being a child of the 80's I vaguely remember his songs.)He had such hits as "Addicted to love" and "Doctor Doctor"

Robert Palmer he's "Simply Irresistible" (Also one of his hits)
This is one of the first songs he charted with and that became a hit for him. Anway here is a link to the song.

This is from the show "Midnight Special" which ran on NBC from 1973 to 1981 and came on after the king of late night you know Carson aka "Herreess Johnny!!!(Interesting note my dad would come home from work and he and my mom would eat and watch "The Midnight Special.") NBC wanted some programming after Carson so suprise here came "The Midnight Special" The Midnight Special was different from other shows of the time in which the singers actually performed live unlike other shows of the time (American Bandstand etc)

(Insert Johnny Rivers "Let the Midnight Special Shine its ever lovin' light on me!")

And of course Johnny sang on the show as well.

Had to post one more it has been too long!!!!

The show was created by Burt Sugarman. ( Really I wouldn't have known!) He is married to Mary Hart who hosted Entertainment Tonight.
